We have a passionate desire to begin something exciting which will provide a new and progressive vision for the centre of the city.
Hay on Wye has a world renowned reputation for books, Ludlow in Shropshire for food, and we believe Hereford must capitilise on it’s artistic heritage and become just as famous for the arts.
Our first step was to use some of the many empty shop windows to display the great diversity of art produced by local artists and students. Now, with our own empty shop, we aim to make it as accessible as possible.
Our 3 main aims...
1.
To provide community events, inclusive to all the people of Herefordshire, particularly to groups who otherwise would not have the opportunity to take part and display their work.
2.
To promote artistic education, encouraging new artists by providing a positive, attractive setting, and encouraging positive growth for Hereford city centre.
3.
To radically improve the look of High Town which at
present is blighted by so many unoccupied retail
premises.
